Doorknob

For a person claiming to have no specific attachments outside of the friendship bond with Memphis, I sure don't date that much and talk about him all the time.

I'm a really strange person, I must admit. But for all intensive purposes there is nothing going on between me & Memphis.

Before I start rambling this entire post about Memphis, I should start noting something that happened yesterday in my interview with Robert Galecki, yes I found out his real name from daddy. He didn't have time for me until today.

"Ah Mrs.Marleau...why don't you have a seat?"

"Thank you for meeting with me"

"So what is your book about? I'm not a regular publisher of course...so the whole process of sending in manuscripts is not something I long after."

"Well...it's hard to explain"

"Good enough, I'll publish it."

"Really, just like that?"

"Sure, I think if I had to say who my best friend in the world is, then that is Gavin Marleau. Plus, I owe him"

"Really that's great"

So in terms, the interview went very well, but the odd part happened when I was leaving his office and was walking towards the door. He sort of rushed in ahead of me, told me to hang on for a while, rustled the knob a bit & then opened it.

I'm beginning to see what Memphis is talking about with the weird vibe thing, rather weird.

Christmas Vacation

Yep I'm updating this thing again. A lot has happened since Poet's last update.

First off her dad got me this job as a construction worker for one of his old friends company's. It's been a decent job for far, it pays well and all my co-workers are pretty nice. Having your best friends father be in control of the most successful law firm in the city really has it's advantages.

Poet also managed to get us into a better apartment with her the assistance of her new publisher, Robert something. To my knowledge Poet never learned what his last name is. The guy has a weird vibe to him but I guess I can't complain. Not unless I want to go back to eating nothing but ramen again.

Anyway Christmas Vacation has been pretty awesome so far but something really weird happened today. When I went to go get the paper like I always do, I saw two women playing chess in the lobby, which I found odd because I've never seen anyone play chess outside of the more elderly members of the building.

One of them had long extremely long orange hair and was wearing a blue dress and the other had long black hair and was wearing a green dress. I didn't bother to go up and see who was winning but before I left the red-head looked up at me and smiled. I don't know what it was about that smile but it felt... Unnatural.
